Water based PVA
Latex house paints, which are water-based acrylic paints, utilize the term “latex” to describe a suspension of polymer microparticles in water. Interior latex house paints typically consist of a blend of binder (such as acrylic, vinyl, PVA, and others), filler, pigment, and water. While exterior latex house paints may also incorporate a co-polymer blend, the most effective ones are 100% acrylic due to their elasticity and other favorable characteristics.

Traditionally, the term “enamel paint” referred to oil-based coatings, often characterized by a notable gloss. However, in recent times, many latex or water-based paints have also embraced the term. Presently, the term signifies “hard-surfaced paint” and is commonly associated with high-quality paint brands, high-gloss floor coatings, or spray paints.
